The Most Efficient Farm for Heroic Upgrade Crests

Tier 5 Ritual Sites are the new fastest farm for Hero Dawncrests in Patch 12.0.5, awarding 20 crests per run at under one minute per crest — no lockout, no daily limit. They also drop Field Accolades for Heroic-tier gear purchases and award the highest level of Great Vault loot available outside of raiding or Mythic+, making them an absurdly efficient one-stop shop.

The edge over Delves comes down to speed and repeatability. Ritual Sites have a single simple objective, open outdoor areas where mounts are usable, and groups can split up to go even faster. Delves are capped by Restored Coffer Keys and a limited number of Bountiful Delves per day — Ritual Sites just don't care. In Patch 12.0.7 this gets even more absurd, with Tier 6 Ritual Sites awarding Myth Dawncrests per run with no weekly cap, compared to T11 Delves which are locked to 4 Gilded Stashes and 20 Myth Crests total per week.

The tradeoff is pure repetition — every Ritual Site run plays out identically, and there's little incentive to experiment with the challenge system when you can just lock in the optimal combo and grind. Whether the activity survives into Patch 12.1 is unclear, but Labyrinths are confirmed for 12.1.5 as the next evolution of Delve-style content.
