Refund Policy

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for payments related to Seramate ("we", "our", "us"). In short: Seramate Premium subscriptions are billed by our payment platform (currently Patreon), and donations are non-refundable.

1. Seramate Premium Subscriptions

Seramate Premium subscriptions are currently billed through Patreon under Patreon's own terms and billing cycle. You can cancel your membership at any time from your Patreon account; cancellation stops future charges, and you keep your perks until the end of the current billing period. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for the remainder of a billing period.

Refunds for subscription payments are handled case by case. If you believe you were charged in error, were double-charged, or subscribed by mistake and have not substantially used your perks, contact us at [email protected] and we will review your request in good faith. You can also request a refund directly through Patreon's own process (Patreon allows members to request refunds from their billing history within 60 days of a charge); Patreon's refund policy applies to all payments it processes, and refunds are ultimately executed on Patreon's payment rails.

If we introduce direct checkout with a payment processor in the future, purchases made that way will follow the same principles set out in this policy, and the processor will be identified at checkout. Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have as a consumer under the laws of your country (for example rights of withdrawal for digital services in the EU/UK, to the extent they apply and have not been waived by starting to use the service immediately).

2. AI Credits

AI credits included with a subscription or free tier are a usage allowance, not a purchased good: they reset monthly, do not roll over, and have no cash value. Credits that have been consumed cannot be refunded, and unused credits are not paid out or exchanged. If a technical fault on our side visibly consumed your credits without delivering a response, contact support and we will make it right.

3. Donations

Donations made to support Seramate — including cryptocurrency transfers — are voluntary and non-refundable. Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible by nature, so please double-check addresses and amounts before sending.

4. Chargebacks

If you have a billing problem, please contact us (or Patreon) before initiating a chargeback with your bank — most issues can be resolved faster that way. Accounts associated with abusive chargebacks may have premium perks suspended.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time, for example if our payment methods change. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
