Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using seramate.com (the "Site") and the services available on it (the "Service"), operated by Seramate ("we", "our", "us"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use or access the Site.

2. About the Service

Seramate is a World of Warcraft Player vs. Player (PvP) analytics platform. Core features — ladders, activity tracking, character profiles and statistics — are free to use. The Service also includes SeraChat, an AI-powered assistant, and optional paid subscriptions ("Seramate Premium") that unlock additional features.

Seramate is a fan-made service. World of Warcraft, Battle.net and Blizzard Entertainment are trademarks or registered trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. Seramate is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use our Site. By using the Site, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old.

4. User Accounts

Signing in to Seramate is done through your Battle.net account. We never see or store your Battle.net password. You may optionally link additional accounts (Twitch, Patreon, Discord) to enable related features; you can disconnect them at any time from your account settings.

You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing [email protected].

5. Seramate Premium (Paid Subscriptions)

Seramate Premium is an optional subscription that unlocks premium features such as additional SeraChat AI credits, advanced privacy settings and other perks described on our pricing page. Subscriptions are currently billed through Patreon, a third-party platform, under Patreon's own terms of use; Seramate does not process your payment details. We may introduce additional payment methods in the future, in which case the payment processor will be identified at checkout.

AI credits included with a subscription (or a free tier) reset monthly, do not roll over, have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged. We may reasonably adjust tier features, credit allowances or pricing over time; material changes will be reflected on the pricing page. Cancellations and refunds are described in our Refund Policy.

6. SeraChat and AI-Generated Content

SeraChat is an AI assistant provided on a beta basis. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete or outdated, and are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only — they are not professional advice, and you should not rely on them as a sole source of truth. Usage is metered through AI credits.

You agree not to use SeraChat to generate unlawful, abusive or harmful content, and not to attempt to circumvent usage limits, safety measures or access restrictions.

You may choose to share conversations or individual responses publicly via a share link. Shared content becomes accessible to anyone with the link. Do not share personal information or third-party content without permission. You can unshare content at any time.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service (such as chat messages, uploaded images and feedback). By submitting content, you grant Seramate a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process and display that content as needed to operate and improve the Service, including displaying conversations you choose to share publicly.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) scrape, harvest or bulk-collect data from the Site without our prior written permission; (b) interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure, including by circumventing rate limits; (c) use the Service to harass, defame or harm others; (d) impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation; or (e) access the Service by automated means other than publicly documented interfaces.

9. Game Data and Privacy Controls

Character and match statistics displayed on the Site are derived from data made publicly available through the official Blizzard API. If you want to limit how your characters appear on Seramate, the Service provides privacy controls (including per-character settings) in your account area. Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. Third-Party Services, Links and Advertisements

The Site may include links to third-party websites, embedded third-party content (such as Twitch streams and Wowhead tooltips), advertisements, or services that are not controlled or managed by us. We do not endorse and are not responsible for such third-party sites, content or services.

11. Intellectual Property

The Site's design, branding and original content are owned by Seramate. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been used on our Site in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please send a notice to [email protected].

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that data (including game statistics and AI-generated content) will be accurate or complete.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Seramate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

14. Security

We take the security of our users seriously. In the event of a data breach, we will take appropriate measures to inform affected users and to protect users' data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

15. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, including for breach of these terms. You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion as described in Section 4.

16. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside. If a dispute arises in relation to these terms and conditions, the courts of that jurisdiction will have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

17. Modification of Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect signifies your acceptance of the modified terms.
