Travel to Val and Naigtal to Quell Leaders of the Void

Blizzard has released a new Patch 12.0.7 blog detailing the challenges and rewards of our upcoming counter invasion into the Void-occupied worlds of Naigtal and Val, to confront the leaders of the Void assault on Azeroth!

Heroic difficulty recommends 274 item level and adds special modifiers, such as roving elite enemies!

Featuring a normal and Heroic world tier to ramp up the difficulty, these open-world zones challenge players to join an expedition of Illidari, Riftblades, and the Army of the Light in a variety of new quests, replete with rare enemies, world quests, secrets, events, and a unique world boss in each area. In return, they'll earn Field Accolades to spend on catch-up gear and transmog, as well as the opportunity to earn new Housing Decor items, mounts, pets, toys, and more!

Join the Illidari and the Army of the Light as you venture into Val and Naigtal to confront the leaders of the Void.

To begin, speak with Riftblade Maella in Silvermoon City to start a new questline, then travel through the portal in Voidstorm in Howling Reach to your destination. Each area rotates weekly, becoming available for one week at a time.

You'll progress through a variety of quests, defeat rare enemies, complete World Quests, and confront the world boss in each area behind the invasions in Azeroth.

Choose Your Difficulty for Rewards (and the Challenge)

When first selecting the portal to travel to the destination, you'll choose to face the challenges within either Normal or Heroic difficulty, providing increased rewards in Heroic.

Earn Field Accolades you can spend on a variety of new rewards from the vendors in the Umbral Base Camp.

Completing the "Showdown on Val" or "Showdown on Naigtal" quests in each area will reward a Riftstalker's Cache. As with Delves and Prey, players will unlock Great Vault rewards in the World content row.

Riftstalker's Cache: "Cache containing Field Accolades, Relic Coffer Key shards, materials for upgrading gear, gold, and more."

Confront the Icy World of Val

Renegade void forces have established a dark bastion of power on a remote, frozen world.

Venture into the storm-ridden wastes of Val and put an end to their pernicious schemes.

Ford the Bogs of Naigtal

The Hal'hadar ethereals have established a Mana-Forge base on a mysterious mushroom-filled world.

The Adventures Continue All Week

Continue to push back against the forces of the Void by participating in World Quests and Events or by taking on rare enemies, overseers, and elites.

Traveling back to the Umbral Base Camp on Naigtal or Val is easy by using the Lightveil Recall Beacon toy you'll earn early on in the questline.

Toy: Lightveil Recall Beacon — Recalls you to the current active Umbral Base Camp on Naigtal or Val. Location may vary. (15 Minute Cooldown) "Recalls you back to the Umbral Base Camp on Val or Naigtal."
