The Tidebound Grotto Lair

Patch 12.1 introduces Lairs, where World Bosses are located in instanced encounters with scaling difficulty up to flexible Mythic for 15-25 players. Patch 12.1's first Lair is named The Tidebound Grotto, where players fight a new World Boss, Nymrissa Wavecaller.

Hidden beneath the waves of Atal'Utek lies the Tidebound Grotto, a submerged cave veiled by shifting tides. Within, the naga sorceress Nymrissa Wavecaller bends the tides to conceal her domain — and to drown any who dare uncover it.

Abilities

Overview: Nymrissa Wavecaller casts Alluring Bubble, creating a massive bubble that lures nearby murlocs into her grasp. She then casts Tidepiercer's Rush to break the bubble. Any murlocs caught inside are empowered with increased strength and aggression, then begin casting Surging Tide to drive back intruders.

Tank:

• Water Jet inflicts sustained damage to Nymrissa Wavecaller's current target, and removes icy patches from Drifting Globules.
• Alluring Bubble attracts a large group of Bubblefin Shorerunners to rush toward the giant bubble.

Tank:

• Water Blade inflicts sustained damage to Nymrissa Wavecaller's current target.
• Alluring Bubble attracts a large group of Bubblefin Shorerunners to rush toward the giant bubble. (Normal, Heroic)

Healer:

• Abyssal Rain inflicts significant damage to all players.
• Alluring Bubble inflicts significant damage to all players when it Pop! (Normal)

Healer:

• Abyssal Rain inflicts significant damage to all players.
• Bursting a Frost orb from Drifting Globules inflicts damage to both the targeted player and the one who picks up the orb.
• Alluring Bubble inflicts significant damage to all players when it Pop! (Heroic)

Healer:

• Abyssal Rain inflicts significant damage to all players.
