New Curios and Poisons Choice Node Added to Valeera in Patch 12.1 Delves

With Patch 12.1, Valeera is getting new Curios and a new Poisons choice node to tackle the next season of Midnight Delves!

Poisons Choice Node

A rogue is never without their poisons, and Valeera is no different. In Patch 12.1, poisons are being moved onto a choice node, where players can pick which poison they would like Valeera to use.

Poisons were a baseline ability in Midnight Season 1, but Valeera would use a specific poison based on her role. By adding poisons to a choice node, players have more options to build Valeera to fit their exact needs!

Valeera Poisons Node

There are three different poisons players can choose from:

  • Bloodcrypt ToxinValeera applies a debilitating poison to her and her allies' weapons. Enemies struck by these poisoned weapons have their damage reduced by 10% and their Haste reduced by 10% for 20 sec.

  • Poison of the Forgotten MasterValeera coats her and her allies' weapons with an ancient poison that grows in potency over time, increasing all damage done by 5%, stacking every 3 sec while in combat up to 5. All stacks are removed if the wielder of the poisoned weapon takes damage.

  • Soulthirst VenomValeera applies wicked poison to her and her allies' weapons, increasing Leech, Avoidance, and Speed by 10%.

Players can select Poisons in the same menu where they select their Curios to run.

New Delve Curios in Midnight Season 2

Alongside poisons, Valeera is getting some new Delve Curios to boost her power! Here is the list of Delve Curios we've found so far.

This is not a final list of Delve curios and could be subject to change leading up to Patch launch.

Combat Curios

  • Essence Trap — While in combat, your companion has a chance to place down 1 Essence Trap. When an enemy comes within 3 yards, the trap activates, slowing targets inside by 20% for 5 sec before detonating, dealing moderate Nature damage and stunning all enemies inside for 1 sec.

  • Ouroboric Curse — When any player's health falls below 50%, the curse awakens, Horrifying nearby enemies for 8 sec while granting them 15% increased primary and 100% increased leech, avoidance, and speed for 20 sec. This effect can only occur once every 2 min. Killing Poisoned enemies reduces this effect's cooldown by 12 sec.

  • Corrosive Bilespear — When any player's health falls below 50%, the curse awakens, Horrifying nearby enemies for 6 sec while granting them 5% increased primary and 50% increased leech, avoidance, and speed for 20 sec. This effect can only occur once every 2 min.

Utility Curios

  • Soul-Cracking Dreamcatcher — When any party member interrupts or crowd-controls an Elite enemy, the Dreamcatcher shatters their soul, causing them to take 10% increased damage for 30 sec, stacking up to 2 times.

  • Dundun's Favor — While in combat, 1 Mislaid Spirit may appear near you. Walking over a Mislaid Curiosity or Mislaid Spirit triggers a volley, firing 6 Volatile Sprites at random nearby enemies, each dealing moderate damage. Mislaid Curiosity contents are looted upon activation.

  • Venom Infusion — Upon entering combat, party members become Poisoned, suffering 1% of their current health as Nature damage every 1 min, while gaining 1% movement speed and 1% haste for every 5% of their health missing. This effect is reversed for the first 6 sec of combat.

Looking at our current list of curios, many spells take inspiration from elements of the Zul'Aman zone, which is where our main story will be pivoting in Patch 12.1.
