Higher Difficulty Prey Achievements Rewards All Lower Difficulty Achievements on Patch 12.1 PTR

In today's Patch 12.1 PTR build, we've datamined that the higher difficulty Prey achievements now award the lower achievements of the same rank.

As this is datamined, this is subject to change.

One of the biggest complaints at the start of the expansion for Prey was that completing a harder difficulty Prey achievement didn't unlock the lower difficulty achievements. As there are three difficulties of achievements, this meant that you needed to do the same Prey hunt and boss three times each in order to unlock every achievement. If you can do the hardest difficulty, many players wondered why you should also need to do the lower difficulties as that felt like a grind.

We've datamined that the Prey achievements in Patch 12.1 are getting additional text, noting that the achievements will award lower difficulties of Prey achievements meaning you only need to do the Nightmare difficulty going forward.

• Prey: Hard Mode I — Defeat one of the following Prey targets on Hard difficulty. Completing this achievement will also grant the Normal achievement of the same rank.

• Prey: Hard Mode II — Defeat 15 of the following Prey targets on Hard difficulty. Completing this achievement will also grant the Normal achievement of the same rank.

• Prey: Hard Mode III — Defeat all of the following Prey targets on Hard difficulty. Completing this achievement will also grant the Normal achievement of the same rank.

• Prey: Nightmare Mode I — Defeat one of the following Prey targets on Nightmare difficulty. Completing this achievement will also grant the Hard and Normal achievements of the same rank.

• Prey: Nightmare Mode II — Defeat 15 of the following Prey targets on Nightmare difficulty. Completing this achievement will also grant the Hard and Normal achievements of the same rank.

• Prey: Nightmare Mode III — Defeat all of the following Prey targets on Nightmare difficulty. Completing this achievement will also grant the Hard and Normal achievements of the same rank.
