World First Mythic Twin Fangs by Echo
Echo has taken down the Twin Fangs, pulling ahead in the Venomous Abyss Race to World First!
Though a major two target cleave encounter, the Twin Fangs also requires an alarming number of interrupts on Mythic difficulty.
Group Composition
- 2 Tanks: 2 Protection Paladins
- 4 Healers: Preservation Evoker, Holy Paladin, Holy Priest, Mistweaver Monk
- 6 Melee: 4 Arms Warriors, Assassination Rogue, Havoc Demon Hunter
- 8 Ranged: 2 Devastation Evokers, 2 Marksmanship Hunters, Arcane Mage, Elemental Shaman, Destruction Warlock, Balance Druid
Protection Paladin was very important on this encounter, not only for interrupts but also for a clever strategy using Blessing of Spellwarding. Guilds had noticed that players who reach 9 stacks of Eternal Venom would only die after Spellwarding expired. This means that assigned players could actually soak more than 9 stacks of orbs before dying, and when you die on Mythic difficulty, you would only summon 3 Orbs. This means that you would delete 6 or more stacks from the encounter. If it was a Shaman, they could use Reincarnation to do all this for free.
