Surviving more than 300 pulls over several days of progression, The Coiled Altar has been a grueling penultimate encounter reminiscent of Mug'zee in the Liberation of Undermine: a brick wall holding all top ten race competitors at the same position. While the first nerf significantly reduced the Phase 2 DPS check, the second nerf was quickly reverted, keeping players in a long slog against an inordinately difficult boss that required vantus runes, near perfect play, and even a little luck. Although not the hardest in terms of raw pulls, the Coiled Altar now ranks among the most difficult penultimate bosses in terms of total progression time.
